The new Chevrolet Montana is almost ready and will have a bold style. General Motors has revealed another teaser of its new pickup truck. The design of the front grille of the new Montana image should anticipate the lines that will be adopted in the future in other vehicles on the platform: Chevrolet Tracker, Chevrolet Onix and Chevrolet Onix Plus.

The front of the new Chevrolet Montana shows that GM has decided to use the same LED aesthetic signature as the Fiat Toro: a thin line placed on the hood and another part of the light in an almost square frame, further down, near the main grille. The rate of consumption is 13 km / l. Because of the engine, only entry-level versions of the Fiat Toro will be affected by the Chevriolet Montana.

The rear of the pickup has not yet been fully revealed, only with the car hidden in the test. However, it is possible to observe that the size of the new Chevrolet Montana will be smaller than that of the Fiat Toro. So, GM will position its image between the two Fiat models, starting with the top version of the Strada.

GM is in an accelerated testing phase at the Cruz Alta Proving Ground, in Indaiatuba (SP). In addition to the track tests, the new Chevrolet Montana has undergone many tests in the laboratory. “Virtual development makes it possible to reduce the vehicle’s conception time by almost half, also increasing the benefits in quality, safety and efficiency”, explains Suzimara Ducatti, virtual simulation specialist at GM Latin America.

GM has a data processing center with an area equal to 20 football fields. Therefore, the new Chevrolet Montana has already covered more than 15,000 kilometers in tests and conducted more than 15,000 multidisciplinary tests.

General Motors has always been a reference in the development of cars. Currently, the company also stands out for its extensive use of advanced engineering tools, such as supercomputers and artificial intelligence software, to create disruptive vehicles.

The new Chevrolet Montana is based on the Tracker SUV (4.51 m) and should be around 4.70 m in size. If this is confirmed, the pickup will be between the 4.48 m of the Fiat Strada and the 4.94 m of the Fiat Toro. Renault Oroch is 4.70 meters long.
