BMW Motorrad celebrates 90,000 motorcycles produced in Brazil – Motor Mais


The BMW Group plant in Manaus (AM) is the only BMW Motorrad motorcycle manufacturer outside of Germany and has eight models in its portfolio.

BMW Motorrad is celebrating the milestone of 90,000 motorcycles produced on Brazilian soil. The attractive and stylish BMW R 1250 GS Triple Black, designed for all conditions of use, marks this achievement for the brand.

The BMW Group’s own plant in Manaus, founded in 2016, is the only one outside of Germany to produce BMW Motorrad motorcycles, it has eight models in its portfolio: G 310 GS, G 310 R, F 750 GS, F 850 ​​GS, F. 850 GS Adventure, S 1000 RR, R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure. Production follows the international quality standards of the BMW Group, confirmed by daily product inspections under the guidance of a qualified team.

Before having its factory in Brazil, BMW Motorrad shared motorcycle production with a local partner, between 2009 and 2016.


BMW R 1250 GS Triple Black

Finished in black, silver and aluminium, the BMW R 1250 GS Triple Black features the Option 719 Billet Pack Shadow I and II packages, which are optional on other versions. They add several items made of Billet Aluminum to the end of the bike (719 is a division in the BMW Group factory in Berlin for the production of motorcycles, where special models were made, with limited production). In the case of the R 1250 GS Triple Black, these packages provide rear view mirrors, head covers and engine side covers for a special customisation.

The model has a two-cylinder boxer engine with four strokes and a BMW Shift Cam transmission system, enhanced by an electronic injection system, as well as having a power of 136hp at 7,750 rpm and producing 143Nm of maximum torque at 6,250 rpm.Among the standard equipment, the model is equipped with Pro Riding Modes, which provide high driving dynamics and safety on dry, wet or off-road surfaces, through a simple button; electronic suspension adjustment (D-ESA), which automatically adjusts the rear shock according to driving conditions; GPS preparation, which allows installing the BMW Navigator in the driver’s field of vision and controlling the navigation system; connection works easily through Multi-Controller; Shift Assistant Pro, which makes the driver’s job easier by allowing upshifts and downshifts in almost any situation; and engine speed without needing to use the clutch lever, among others.
