Award-winning Toyota dealers in Brazil and Argentina

More than 250 suppliers from both countries participated in the car manufacturer award

Toyota held the Toyota Latin American and Caribbean (TLAC) Distributor Conference, awarding the best distributors of the company, now in its 19th edition. This year, the ceremony was once again held in person, in a simultaneous event and connecting factories in Sorocaba (SP) and Zarate, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In total, more than 250 suppliers, including Brazilians and Argentines, participated.

This year, in Brazil, the car manufacturer was awarded the prize AGC, involved in the provision of windshields, as the supplier of the year 2021. Barossi, a provider of forged and injected metal parts and plastic assemblies; Purem (Eberspaecher), a supplier of exhaust components, and GKT-B, a supplier of automotive components and panels, received the Best Performance award.

In Argentina, Toyota awarded the supplier of the year to Mirgor, a supplier of electronic components. Industrias Guidi, a supplier of stamped metal parts and assemblies, Maro, a supplier of plastic materials, YPF, involved in the distribution of lubricants, Ferrosider, a supplier of flat steel, and Toyota Boshoko, a seat manufacturer, were awarded in the Best Performance category .

The ceremony was attended by the top executives of the two branches: Masahiro Inoue, CEO of Toyota Latin America and the Caribbean; Rafael Chang, president of Toyota do Brasil; Gustavo Salinas, president of Toyota Argentina and other representatives of Toyota in Latin America.

“Toyota believes that it has an important role in the development of the industry and the country in which it operates. With this award, we seek to continue growth in a sustainable way and increase the competitiveness of the regional production chain”, said Evandro Maggio, Toyota’s director of purchasing, research and development for Latin America and the Caribbean.
