BMW continues to prepare for the arrival of the Neue Klasse, its future electric range. The German manufacturer can focus on smaller models.

With its new platform, BMW is preparing the Neue Klasse, its program for the new model. We already know that it will include an electric version of the 3 Series, and a rival Tesla Model Y SUV.

Depending BMW-Blog, the SUV will arrive in 2025 and will be the all-new iX3, with the iX4 following the following year. Unlike the current iX3, this model will have a dedicated platform, and will no longer share a petrol model.

But still according to the same sources inside BMW, i1 and i2 will come to grace this electric range. The two most common types will be the entry level Neue Klasse. Munich developers plan their arrival by 2027.

These models would arrive alongside the future Series 1 and Series 2 with hotter engines, which would still be useful. But unlike the current electric versions, models with the same number will not have anything in common.

The platform and type of engine will be different, while the design may also differ. BMW has not yet confirmed this information, as well as the type of batteries these cars will use.
