A faulty differential prompts a Ford Ranger recall

The differential is an unknown mechanical feature that is nevertheless present in all vehicles. It allows the wheels on the same axle to turn at different speeds, the sine qua non of being able to bend, for example. On some models with all-wheel drive, it is also self-locking, which makes it possible, in off-road use, to maintain traction even if one of the wheels has little or no traction.

It is the rear differential that is the problem today on the Ford Ranger. When the car bed is too full, it can break or jam. If this happens when the car is in traffic, loss of control and then an accident are likely.

So the blue circular print remembers all the Rangers who assembled between September 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019 to proceed with the inspection and replacement of the rear differential. Ford France has not disclosed the exact number of vehicles affected by this operation, but it could reach 3,500.

Each owner of the defendants Rangers, which are approved under CE types e11*2007/46*0154*17 and e5*2007/46*0080* followed by 00, 01 or 02, is currently in contact with him. He mentions the 22S30 recovery operation and insists on the need to make an appointment without delay with his dealer.
